Technically, it is a side table.
A surface.
Three legs.
A place for a glass, a book, perhaps the keys you will spend ten minutes looking for tomorrow.
It could have stopped there.
Instead, Kelly Hoppen gave the familiar a different silhouette.
Dark curves rise and fall in one continuous gesture, narrowing at the centre before opening again.
Above them, French Gold catches the light β not loudly, just enough.
Useful?
Certainly.
But usefulness was never the whole story.
Because some things earn their place by doing exactly what is expected of them.
And others do exactly what is expected β
without ever looking expected.
Perhaps that is the trick.
Not becoming someone else.
Just refusing to be reduced to the obvious version of yourself.
