Metamorphosis
Inspired by one of nature’s most extraordinary processes of transformation, Metamorphosis Rug captures the moment when one form becomes another.
Butterflies appear across its soft, circular composition, turning the surface into an unexpected meeting of nature, movement and contemporary design.
Hand-tufted in 100% botanical silk, its delicate sheen brings depth and softness to every detail.
Designed and crafted by Rug’Society in Portugal.
*Graphics, texture and colour appearance may be different from the images due to the display screen colours variations, the material sheen and the type of production.
And If…
Can we tell you a story?
They call me Metamorphosis.
Perhaps the butterflies gave me away.
They drift across my surface.
Some have arrived.
Some seem almost ready to leave.
And beneath them, a circle.
No beginning.
No end.
Just movement.
Are the butterflies just decoration?
Or are they evidence?
The pattern around them shifts between order and imperfection,
as if something is already changing.
And suddenly, a rug becomes something else.
A little landscape.
A quiet interruption.
A reminder beneath your feet
that nothing beautiful stays exactly as it was.
Metamorphosis doesn’t simply fill a room.
It changes the ground beneath it.
I was created by Rug’Society in Portugal,
and hand-tufted in 100% botanical silk.
✨ You see me here in Ø 200 cm. But transformation doesn’t come in one size.
